| This is a FORK from the original Better Pushback. Because there have been no further improvements in the last 2 years, I analyzed its sources and made a few corrections.
Some Fixes Details:
- There was a Check, with the callout "aircraft has non-positive wheelbase". This is now removed for all aircraft as it dosn't work for X-Plane 12.
- Some Memory override errors checked
- Some Pull Requests from old project checked and merged
Limitations:
- Tested only on X-Plane 12 (Windows)
- For X-Plane 11 use the "orginal" Version (https://github.com/skiselkov/BetterPushbackC)
- No MacOS Version of the Plugin (Have no Intel Mac witch is required to build the plugin)
- Not tested on Linux - but should work too (My linux VM is to slow)
- The fix I made is tested for some ToLiss Airbus and Zibo B738 Mod.
- There is still a knowing issue when Airport Elevation is negative. Some users reported it can crash. (I'm working on it)
- Owner of the ForeFlight A320: Don't use this Plugin, it is included already in the "CEF" Plugin delivered by FF itself.
- No guarantee that any additions to better pushback will work with this version.
Installation Hints:
- Install the plugin in the Resources directory [X-Plane 12 Installation]\Resources\plugins
- Delete (Backup) the "old" Plugin and then copy this one
- Delete the files inside of the directory [X-Plane 12 Installation]\Output\caches\BetterPushbackAirports.cache (on startup will be recreated)
- Delete the file on [X-Plane 12 Installation]\Output\caches\BetterPushback_routes.dat (will be recreated)
- Use the Better Pushback Menu in the Plugin section of X-Plane to call the Pushback Operations

Please respect that compile and build the "existing Code" dosen't realy fix any bugs. There is an investigation and a lot of time required, to check and fix "your" problem. So please if you have problems just contact me directly
and don't use the raitings for pressure to fixing your problem. Without logs or any system information there is no support given anymway. If the problem stays to long and you not happy ... take the GIT Repo search the bug and fix it.
I promes you, if I findout that this problem is an real issue and can effect other users, I will put on limitations, as you can see I already did. As you alway know for free software, there is no garantee given for nothing. Use this plugin on you own Risk.
Future of the Project
Do not expect some high improvements on this plugin. I maybe can fix some small stuff, but I'm not able to improve or add some new features. This is not my code and I'm not the owner of the copyrights.
I just did the original author a favor and a few minor fixes. Copyright remains. If the author contacts me and wants me to remove it, I will do so.
Next Steps:
- Integrate "osxcross" to be able to comple it for Mac Systems too
- Log improvments for easier error handling
