Description

SillyxPilot

Hey! So this is SillyxPilot. It's a little sidekick for xPilot that makes sure you never miss a supervisor or a controller trying to talk to you while you're away from your keyboard.

Basically it started because I once got suspended for ignoring a supervisor. I wasn't ignoring them on purpose, I just didn't see the message because I was in the kitchen or something. So now this thing watches for me.

What it actually does

  • Keeps a nice readable log of everyone who messaged you. Private messages, ATC, radio chatter, all of it, color coded so you can tell at a glance who said what.
  • Tells you how many supervisors are online right now, and if one of them messages you, it goes full alarm mode. Discord ping, email, popup on your screen, a loud sound, the works. There is no freaking way to miss this!
  • If ATC messages you privately it also gives you a heads up so you don't leave them hanging.
  • Has a little map tab where you can see your flight and nearby traffic
  • Lets you chat with other people running SillyxPilot

How to install it

  1. Double click Installer.exe.
  2. It tries to find your xPilot folder on its own. If it gets it right, great. If not, just type the folder in yourself.
  3. Pick how you want it to start. Either "only when xPilot opens" (it just waits quietly and pops up the moment you launch xPilot) or "start with Windows and sit in the tray" if you want it running all the time with a little icon you can click.
  4. Hit Install and give it a second.

If Windows asks for permission because you're installing into Program Files, just say yes. If it tells you it needs admin rights and nothing happens, close the installer, right click it, and choose "Run as administrator", then try again.

That's it. From then on it just runs on its own and pops open a dashboard in your browser whenever it starts. To uninstall it, its easy. There's an "Uninstall SillyxPilot" shortcut in your Start Menu once it's installed. Click that and it cleans up after itself, no leftover junk. Reminder, This whole thing is a companion, not a replacement. Your real xPilot keeps working exactly the same as always, this just tags along and keeps an eye out. Fly safe, don't ignore yoursupervisors, and if you do accidentally step away for a bit, at least now you'll know about it.
