Hallo,
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beispiel (Scenery.packs):
Global Airports
Europe X
libraries
zzz_orthophotos (hier gehört die aktiviert hin)
zzz_mesh
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wichtig!!!
Für die Nutzung ohne Simheavens X World Europe, wird diese Overlay Datei benötigt.
https://de.x-plane.to/file/211/orthophoto-overlays-important-for-the-orthophotos
English:
Hello,
I've been busy with Ortho4XP to get some newer wallpaper, in this case I use different recordings,
which of course can lead to any color deviations. I also used different zoom levels, from ZL 16 to ZL 17 near the airport ZL 18.
98% of the time I only fly airlines, so the resolution is enough for me. Otherwise it takes up too much space.
If you're interested, I've already covered most of Europe with this. If better image data is available, it will be replaced.
Installation:
Place the file in the X-Plane Custom Scenery directory and set it to the correct position in Scenery.packs.
-------------------------------------------------- -----------------------
Example (Scenery.packs):
Global airports
Europe X
libraries
zzz_orthophotos (the activated one goes here)
zzz_mesh
-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------
Warning: It should only be used in conjunction with Simheavens X World Europe: https://simheaven.com/xp12-sceneries/
because I don't know how to add the overlays yet.
Important!!!
For use without Simheavens X World Europe, this overlay file is required.
https://de.x-plane.to/file/211/orthophoto-overlays-important-for-the-orthophotos
In addition, X-Europe is a must have for X-Plane anyway, since it will be greatly upgraded and it is freeware.
Otherwise, you only look at a bare wallpaper.
Many thanks and a huge respect to the developer.
My thanks also go to the developer of the Ortho4XP tool.
If there is interest, I will also be happy to upload more tiles, I myself have covered Central Europe.
Have fun :-)
It requires a bit of familiarization with the installation routines, if anyone has any questions about the correct installation, please feel free to contact me.
I like to create the tiles just for fun, there are also some ugly tiles, which unfortunately I can't see completely beforehand.
I am happy to make this available to anyone who likes to fly with Orthophoto and no longer needs to be trained in Ortho4XP.

What image source do you use with Ortho4XP plz ? Google, Bing...? Thanx

Sometime Bing sometimes google, sometimes arc, but i mix it also if at one image are many clouds i use for this then an other, there can then be some color changes, but this shows much better as a white cloud field, for example.

I saw some water was not masked.
Will your ortho's get masks for water and will they get color corrected in the future?
chrima83 2 year(s) ago
Heya,
i can use a deeper mask and reoploading the tile and look if it better, sometimes it can happened that there is no mask, i take a look and make a new upload.
And i am also not a big fan of uses inland masks the new tile is in work and i think its up in a hour.

OKay great. I will be trying these out this weekend including some other tiles. What about color correction. Will you be doing that as well in the future?
chrima83 2 year(s) ago
Simply answer is No... I have about 100.000 texture pieces into the tiles there and not the time to show which one i need to correct. I have a Privat life and this what i do here, is many work in my free time for the community. what i can do, is that i look to get better images. Or if anyone see bad images, that i have overlook, can tell me this and i can show for others.
